Andrew Sweeney is a writer and journalist, working in both online and broadcast media. He received is MA Hons undergraduate degree from the University of Glasgow in Central & Eastern European Studies while also attending the Charles University in Prague. He subsequently received an MSc in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School.

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Andrew speaks Russian, French and Czech and is currently learning Spanish. He is the TVP World correspondent for the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, the English language channel of Polish public media, and has also reported from Ukraine and Colombia.
